| 회의 목적 This is a notice of a public informational meeting to provide an overview of proposed regulatory changes to the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Area Designation and Management Regulations (Regulations). This public informational meeting is to provide information to the public in advance of a public comment period for the proposed regulatory amendments, which was authorized by the State Water Control Board at its December 9, 2020 meeting. The proposed regulatory amendments are to address statutory changes to the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act that added "coastal resilience and adaptation to sea-level rise and climate change” and “preservation of mature trees or planting of trees as a water quality protection tool and as a means of providing other natural resource benefits” to the criteria “for use by local governments in granting, denying, or modifying requests to rezone, subdivide, or use and develop land" in Chesapeake Bay Preservation areas. This Informational Session will provide an overview of the proposed regulatory changes, process, timeline, opportunities for public engagement, and other information. Questions and comments made during this informational session will not be part of the official public comment file. Comments must be submitted during the public comment period to begin on February 1, 2021. Given the existing State of Emergency related to the COVID-19 pandemic and in compliance with Item 4-0.01 g of Chapter 1289 of the 2020 Acts of Assembly, this meeting will be held entirely virtually. A computer or a telephone are necessary to participate virtually. All meeting attendees are encouraged to access the meeting using a computer to view the meeting visuals. Attendees may also use a phone for audio and a computer for visual to avoid possible interruptions in computer audio. Although the use of a phone for audio only participation is possible, since the meeting will rely on visuals, audio only participation is discouraged. The URL to register for the virtual meeting is provided above. Once registered for the meeting, registrants will receive an email with the URL and telephone information to participate in the meeting. If meeting attendees experience any interruption in the meeting broadcast, they should call the technical support line that is also provided above. | |||
