| 회의 목적 UPDATE - THIS WILL BE A VIRTUAL ONLY MEETING. SEE UPDATE AT http://www.deq.virginia.gov/wegmans (copy and paste to web browser), A public hearing to receive comment on a proposed Virginia Water Protection permit for the Wegmans' Distribution Center in Hanover County. Note: an informational briefing will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. has applied for a new permit for the Wegmans Distribution Center. The project site is located south of Ashcake Road (Route 657), northwest of Sliding Hill Road (Route 656), and east of Egypt Road (Route 741) in Hanover County, Virginia. The permit will allow the applicant to fill a surface water wetland to construct a regional grocery distribution center. The proposed activity would affect 5.89 acres of palustrine forested wetland and 0.23 acre of palustrine emergent wetland. The activity proposed in the permit will affect wetlands that drain to Totopotomoy Creek, Kersey Creek, and Campbell Creek in the Pamunkey River watershed. To compensate for the affected area, the applicant would provide compensation for permanent impacts to wetlands authorized by this permit. The public comment period runs from June 20 through August 4, 2020. | |
