| 회의 목적 The Department of Environmental Quality is holding a public informational session for a draft groundwater withdrawal special exception for the proposed Chickahominy Power LLC electric generating. The special exception authorizes the applicant to withdraw a limited amount of water for a limited period of time. DEQ staff will discuss the regulatory process – how applications are evaluated, the results of the evaluation of Chickahominy Power LLC application, the difference between a groundwater withdrawal permit and a groundwater withdrawal special exception, the special conditions by which water may be withdrawn, and the next steps in the process. After the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions directly to staff in a café style setting. Questions and comments made during this informational session will not be part of the official public comment file. A 50-day public comment period for the draft special exception began December 26, 2019 and will end February 14, 2020. A public hearing will be held at Charles City County High School, 10039 Courthouse Rd, Charles City, VA on January 28, 2020 beginning at 6:30 p.m. Questions regarding the informational session should be directed to the contact person below. | |
