Revisions are needed in the Regulations Governing the Licensure of School Personnel to align the regulations with the change in the Code of Virginia. Section 22.1-298 (Item D) of the Code of Virginia was amended requiring the following: In addition, the Board's licensure regulations shall also require that, on and after July 1, 2005, initial licensure for principals and other school leaders, as may be determined by the Board, be contingent upon passage of the School Leader's Licensure Assessment.
